There
was a cute little car, a '58 BMW Isetta, which was
powered by a BMW motorcycle motor. This fantasy car
was painted red, green, and purple. Its front end
opened to the side for entering the car.
A
car that looked like a blue dolphin (Dave the
dolphin) was originally a Volkswagen Bug. Harry
Leverette, Kenny Smith, and Tom Kennedy spent
around two years to make this artistic
car.
No
one could guess that this yellow car was once an
'86 Firebird. Lynn and Bill Ludlam and Mike and
Paul Hewlett used 7,837 tennis balls and 1,000 glue
sticks to make this car. It took them 86 hours to
finish it. The car has over 950 tennis balls on the
hood alone.
It's
hard to believe it, but one car was covered with
postage stamps. 70,000 stamps were stuck on a '78
Datsun station wagon owned by the La Porte Jr. High
School Art Club.
