Gilmer
explains why he got his tattoos and suggests people
shouldn't be judged negatively just because they
have tattoos.
First
of all, I want to introduce myself. My name is
Gilmer. I am from Venezuela, and I am 19 years old.
I'd always wanted to have a tattoo; now I have
gotten two tattoos. One is located on my left arm
and the other one is on my back. The first one is a
frog and the one on my back is my nickname in
Japanese.
Why
did I choose these tattoos?. As I said before I'd
always wanted to have a tattoo. Moreover, I have
two cousins that are very close to me, and we
decided to have the same tattoo, so we chose the
frog, and each of us has the same frog but in
differents positions on our body.
The
second one that is on my back is my nickname in
English, Gil, written in Japanese
characters. I chose this one because I like
Japanese symbols. That's why I decided to put my
name in Japanese.

Does
my family disagree with my tattos? Well, they don't
agree with my tattos and they also don't like my
tattos, but they respect me as well as I do. You
might think that we have a bad relationship, but
it's not true. We love each other, and in my
opinion we have excellent communication.
In
brief, I would like to say that if people have
gotten tattoos, it doesn't mean that they are
different or have problems. I know that there are a
lot of people like me who have gotten tattoss and
don't have any kind of problems. Therefore, we
should respect their points of view and not think
that it is something bad. A tattoo is just a
picture on your body, and it is not something that
changes your mind or the way you are.
