I
still remember the room in which I spent perhaps
the most beautiful days of my life. It was in an
apartment which was the tallest one in our
street. It
had a big window through which we could see the
sea, very close by, and it had a big balcony in
front.
I
talked long hours with my closest friend there till
late at night, and in that room my brothers and I
played together. We had a lot of fun there during
our childhood. There
was a small sofa which was my lovely grandmother's
favorite.
We
often watched TV there. When I was 9 years old, the
TV program Dallas was very popular. While I was
watching that film I said to my family that one day
I would live there. I had a feeling about that in
my heart. Perhaps it was an instinct. My family
told me not to talk so silly, but those words came
true.
Writing
about that room takes me back to those beautiful
days. When I close my eyes I still remember those
days; I hear the voices of all the members of my
family when we were all together in that room.
