In my native country of Mexico, love is very important. You can meet a boyfriend or girlfriend at a party or school. Some couples don’t last long, but some of them last forever.
It is important to see if you are in agreement on important things, not just about money, and to see if your boyfriend or girlfriend is responsible, a good person, and if they really love you.
In Mexico, when couples really love each other, they prepare for their wedding, and sometimes the relatives help with the party preparations.
My parents are from Mexico, and they will celebrate their 50th anniversary soon. They have lived happily since they got married. They have eight children and seventeen grandchildren. Sometimes they come to visit us, and when they go back to Mexico we feel sad.
I met my husband at a party. Now we have been married for thirteen years, and we have two children. Love is when you stay with your spouse in the good and bad times and when you help, listen, and try to understand each other.
