In the casinos you can find a lot of attractions like slot machines, game bowling, shows, and restaurants. You can win money or lose it.
My name is Jesus Mejia and I was born in El Salvador. I came to the United States in 2003, so I have been living here for 6 years.
Iíve been to Las Vegas. I was there for three days. In those three days I went to visit different places. When I went all around Las Vegas, I saw people drinking beer out on the streets.
In the casinos you can find a lot of attractions, like slot machines, game bowling, shows, and restaurants. You can win money, or lose it. It is the best place for entertainment. While you are gambling in the casinos, waitresses offer you drinks, like alcohol. The drinks are free, but the customers need to give tips.
The casino authorities rarely check your age when you are gambling because there is a special area in the casinos for kids under 18 years old. They check your age when you buy alcohol at the bar. When I was in Las Vegas, I lost money playing in a casino, but it was fun.
In El Salvador it is illegal to gamble with dice for money. If somebody makes a report to the police, everybody goes to jail for 3 or 4 months. Playing cards for money is okay if it is in your home. We can gamble at the racetracks in the country, but not in the city.
Sometimes I buy lottery tickets here in Los Angeles. My first time I won $50.00, and I only paid $1.00 for that ticket! I think I am a lucky person.
