This
dish tastes delicious. I like to prepare it, but
it's very hard to get a pilchard fish here in
Australia. I'm sure you will enjoy eating this
Filipino food.
Ingredients: (for 6 people)
- 1
kilo pilchard fish
- 1/2
cup vinegar
- 1
medium onion
- 2
medium tomatoes
- 1
medium ginger
- 5
pieces lemon
Method:
- First,
you have to clean and cut the head off the
pilchard fish and put it into a bowl.
- Pour
the vinegar into the bowl.
- Cut
the lemon in half and squeeze it.
- Put
the sliced onion, sliced tomatoes, ginger, and
salt to taste in the bowl.
- Leave
it out for one hour in the refrigerator before
you eat it.
Tip
for Preparing the Fish
The
fish is caught at the beach. It is cooked over a
fire and eaten with salt and vinegar with your
fingers.
